1) Cloud Computing – virtualized resources as a service over the internet.

2) Advanced Analytics – measurement, collection, analysis and reporting of internet data for purposes of understanding and optimizing web usage

7) Active Monitoring – active monitor: device in a token ring that performs network-management duties, such as keeping track of tokens and weeding out frames that would otherwise circulate indefinitely

8 ) Flash Memory – non volatile memory storage that can be electrically erased and reprogrammed. mainly used for general storage and transfer of data between computers and other digital products.

9 ) Virtualization for availability – virtual machine: a software implementation of a machine (computer) that executes programs like a real machine.

West Point Bridges

Cheapest – it is cheap because it is light and very thin, it also has very few things to hold it up but it is still safe. i dont think it would be able to be built in real life because it can only support an average truck and most likely more than a truck would pass over it so it would collapse.  price: $190,944.08

Most expensive – it is huge and super thick. there is a lot of  unnecessary things that hold it up its safe and can hold a lot of weight but its weight is also very great so im not sure if it can be built in real life. it could be if someone wanted to spend a lot of unnecessary money on this one bridge but i doubt someone will. if there was and it was built it would last some time but i think one day it would collapse because of its own weight combined with the weight of everyone on it. price: $16,432,173.82

Kids and Laptops

most would be like “cool a lap top” but they wouldn’t be too excited. most people in the U.S. have internet access so only a few would be really excited. i think some would sell that lap top because the one they already have is better. others would keep it and use it if it is faster or better then the one they have. the few without a computer would be a little less stressed with homework when they have internet, they could simply look it up. the people who don’t have a computer already would be happy such as the kids in Uruguay.

It is a good article because it gives a lot of information about the band and it also gives you dates. Not only recent events but also a sort of time line of the band’s history.

Statement One: Linkin Park is an American rock band from Agoura Hills, California, formed in 1996.

Point One: Since then they have sold more than 50 million albums and won 2 Grammy Awards.

Detail One: It achieved mainstream success with its debut album, Hybrid Theory, which was certified Diamond by the RIAA in 2005.

Statement Two: Having adapted the nu metal and rap rock genres to a radio friendly yet densely layered style in Hybrid Theory and Meteora, the band explored other genres in their next studio album Minutes to Midnight.

Detail Two: The album Minutes to Midnight topped the billboard charts and had the third best debut week of any album that year.

Statement Three: In 2003 MTV2 named Linkin Park the sixth greatest band of the music video era and the third best of the new millennium.

Detail Three: They have also collaborated with several other artists, most notably with rapper Jay-Z in their mashup album Collision Course, and many others on Reanimation.

Conclusion: Linkin Park is one of the best bands out there today and anyone who likes rap, rock, alternative and nu metal should listen to some of their songs.

What I Would Do

Posted in Uncategorized on October 8, 2009 by alangalvan

I would want a year long game design class. You could learn how to design a game and then play it. To learn how to make the creatures and people you design to move and interact. Not only design games but also little flash movies and also how to add sound to it such as voices or background music. You could also learn how to make a cartoon. It would be cool to learn how to edit videos so that it looks like you have a superpower or theres a fake explosion like on some youtube videos.
